FIRST LOOK: BAMBIE THUG'S COSTUME REVEALED AHEAD OF EUROVISION SEMI-FINAL

The countdown is officially on. In just a few short hours Bambie Thug will take to the stage to sing their heart out in Malmo and also hopefully end Ireland's 18 year dry streak at Eurovision.

Ahead of the first semi-final on Tuesday, fans got a first look at their costume and it's every bit as attention grabbing as you'd expect.

Bambie debuted two looks in the dress rehearsal, one black ensemble consisting of a voluminous skirt of black feathers.

The top of their dress featured a row of gold Celtic swirls, and more feathers in the oversized shoulders.

Capping off their look was a black headdress with two horns and shoes that snaked around their legs.

By contrast their second look was bright and summery, and would not look out of place at the 2024 Met Gala's The Garden Of Time theme.

It was a leotard of interlocking cut out shapes in pinks, and blues held together by rope.

The colours have a significance and are reported to represent the pinks and blues of the Trans flag.

Along with their head turning looks, Bambie also has plenty of props at their disposal from candles to dry ice and pyrotechnics.

The performance will also incorporate dance in the form of ballet moves and a dance with a man-monster culminated in a graphic of what has become a slogan for Bambie's supporters 'Crown The Witch.'

Following a bout of illness early in the contest RedFM quotes them in saying: 'I'm a performer, I'm here to show my art on stage and, you know, regardless of what's happening in those three minutes that's what's happening in those three minutes so obviously there's a massive cloud over it.

'But, I'm here to do one thing that I've been working my whole life for.'

Bambie will take to the stage fourth in the contest to perform Doomsday Blue with Eurovision icon Johnny Logan stepping up to perform the interval act, a rendition of Loreen's winning entry Euphoria.

Both Johnny and Loreen are the only two people to have won Eurovision twice.
