EVERYTHING TO KNOW ABOUT THE INFAMOUS TRUE CRIME DOC THE JINX PART TWO

What more is there to say after Robert Durst's unwitting bathroom confession 'What did I do? Killed them all, of course?'
Well, plenty according to filmmakers who have just dropped a second helping of The Jinx on us, nine years after the initial documentary sent shockwaves around the world.
The cold-blooded killer died in prison a day before going on trial for the murder of his first wife Kathleen McCormack Durst in 2022 but after being convicted of the murder of his best friend Susan Berman the year before.
It was a case of the loose lips leading to lock up for Durst after he accidentally confessed to the murders while being interviewed for the original HBO documentary.
Until that point, he was shielded from his crime by an army of lawyers paid for by his immense wealth.
The second instalment takes a look at the story as the cold case was reopened, right up to the moment the finale aired.
So, why should we tune in? Well, it gives us real-time reactions from the killer as his notoriety spiralled including his incapability in keeping his mouth shut.
The latter included calls to Charles Bagli, a New York Times reporter after each episode of the documentary aired for a play-by-play.
Perhaps one of the most gripping moments comes courtesy of The Jinx creator Andrew Jarecki who invited the family of the victims to his home to watch the finale including the chilling bathroom confession.
There's an audible gasp in the room as he uttered the fatal words, and Kathleen's brother speaks of a purging sense of closure, as others frantically ask if the information is admissible in court.
Part two of The Jinx also clears up how the killer was arrested a day before his 'TV confession.'
The first episode reveals how he went on the run after he watched the episode aired a week before the finale. He was subsequently apprehended in New Orleans and was arrested the day before the confession became known.
